Horton Plains

Horton Plains is situated in the Central Highlands World Heritage Site which has 3,159.8 ha. It has a montane rain forest and open grasslands. Umbrella shaped montane forest patches give more beauty to the plains. The endemic flora and fauna and also the high biodiversity are the most outstanding values of the plains. This has been declared as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2010.
